FAQ

When does the rental period begin and end?
The rental period begins the day you receive your lens and ends on the day specified by your rental agreement. For example: if you place your order on August 1st for a one-week rental and it ships August 2 and arrives at your requested destination on August 4th, then your rental period begins August 4th and ends August 11th (7 days later.) You then ship the lens back to us on August 12th.

How do I return the lens?
We’ve made the return process as easy as possible for the renter. A self-addressed mailing bag ships with your original order.  Simply place the lens back in the custom made ballistic lens bag that was shipped to you – zip the bag, insert it into the white poly mailing bag and it’s ready to go. The postage has already been calculated, and is stamped onto the bag. Just give it to your USPS mail carrier or send it from the post office.

Can I reserve a lens?
Not at this time. Lenses are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis via email notification.

How do I know when a particular lens is in stock?
Our email notification system will automatically send an availability alert to those interested. The lens is then rented to the first person who responds to the notification.

Can I rent more than one lens at a time?
Currently, due to high demand for our lenses, only one lens per order may be rented at a time.  To rent an additional lens a separate order would need to be placed.

Should I clean the lens before returning it?
No, there is no need for you to clean the lens before returning it, and in fact, we prefer you don’t. Cleaning and maintaining the lenses is part of the service we provide to our customers.

What if my return date falls on a holiday?
This in fact may happen. If so, you are required to ship your lens back the following day (or the next day that the USPS in open.)

Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Order fulfillment is limited to the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) at this time.

Why can’t a lens be rented for more than 3 weeks at a time?
As you’ve probably noticed, our lenses are often out of stock. In an effort to give as many people as possible a chance to rent the lenses, we are not able to offer extended rental periods at this time.

How are the lenses shipped?
We ship our lenses 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) through the USPS. The lenses are placed in one of our custom made ballistic lens bags and placed securely in large plastic poly mailing bags. When you receive your lens you will find an additional white poly bag to return the lens back to us through the USPS.
